Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist you will work in all areas of the laboratory including blood banking, chemistry and hematology while performing a variety of scientific, fact-finding tests used in the diagnosis of disease.

The Medical Laboratory Science program at St. Luke's College will provide 11 months of professional studies committed to classroom and practical instruction. Clinical experience in the laboratory at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's and MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center will help you work with accuracy and precision while performing diagnostic tests.

Students either possess a baccalaureate degree or may be in their final year at an affiliated college/university seeking to complete their degree in Medical Laboratory Science. Upon completion of the program you will be eligible to take a national certifying examination to become a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
