St. Luke’s College – UnityPoint Health held spring commencement on Friday, May 5 for the graduating class of 2023.
Forty-four students graduated after successfully completing one of the college’s professional healthcare programs. Associate degrees were awarded in Registered Nursing, Radiologic Technology and Respiratory Care. In addition, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree was awarded to seven graduates.
“We are so proud of the 44 students who graduated from St. Luke’s College,” said Dr. Kendra Ericson, St. Luke’s College president. “Each of these students have worked hard and are prepared to begin healthcare careers – dedicating their lives to caring for others and our community.”
The commencement ceremony began with an invocation given by Chaplain Roger Cauthon, program director of clinical pastoral education at St. Luke’s College. Dr. Thomas Carroll, retired physician and St. Luke’s College board member, delivered the commencement address to the graduating class. Diplomas were presented by Dr. Kendra Ericson, college president and Christie Finnegan, president of the college’s board of directors. College pins and hoods were presented by Dr. Shannon Merk, associate dean of nursing and Angela Corderman, associate dean of institutional effectiveness & health professions.
