Scholarship Opportunity

Most of us take breathing for granted. But patients with asthma, bronchitis or other breathing conditions know its importance - along with the respiratory therapists who care for them.

At St. Luke's College, you will learn to evaluate, treat and care for patients with breathing disorders.  Respiratory therapists evaluate and treat all types of patients, from the tiniest of patients in the critical care nursery whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly patients whose lungs are diseased.

 Program Goals:

 1.  The graduate will demonstrate they have the knowledge expected in an new graduate of a respiratory care program.

2.
The student will demonstrate the ability to perform procedures expected of a new graduate of a respiratory care program.

3.  The graduate will demonstrate the level of professional behavior expected of a new graduate of a respiratory care program.

Information on the current status of the program can be obtained at the CoARC website:

Students enrolled in the Respiratory Care Program may seek employment at hospitals to provide respiratory care under the supervision of a licensed therapist.  This may include employment at sites where students have clinical rotations. Each institution determines the requirements for employment, work schedule and salary.  The college does not influence scheduling, selection, or salary of the student employee.  It is the responsibility of the student to assure that employment does not interfere with their education.
