Department Chairperson for Respiratory Care Announced
Duncan promoted to Department Chairperson for Respiratory Care Education
St. Luke’s College – UnityPoint Health announces the promotion of Cindy Duncan, MS, RRT to Department Chairperson for Respiratory Care Education.
In her position, Duncan provides management and leadership for the Respiratory Care Program. She maintains program accreditation and learning outcomes, provides instruction in the classroom and supervises faculty for classroom and clinical instruction within the program.
Previously, Duncan served as a Clinical Coordinator of the Respiratory Care Program at St. Luke’s College for 15 years and as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s for 21 years.
A Sioux City native and graduate of Bishop Heelan High School, Duncan has a bachelor of science degree in biology and respiratory care from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and a master of science degree in education from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota.
In addition, Duncan is the President of the Iowa Society for Respiratory Care, she has reviewed various respiratory care textbooks, is an item writer for the National Board for Respiratory Care and has served as the President of St. Luke’s College Faculty Senate.
